Jane’s main research interest is the influence of nutrition on the health and wellbeing of cancer survivors. Her PhD research concerns investigating the impact of a 12- week group lifestyle intervention for women who have completed their initial treatment for breast cancer.

She conducted a mixed-methods study looking at dietary intake, self-efficacy, patient-reported outcomes, physical health measures and participant experiences. The study has a quasi-experimental design in which comparative data were collected in the weeks before the intervention. A long-term follow up was also carried out after 12 months.
